Sweden's first parakeering event at Bergvik!

Now we’re launching a campaign to promote para sports at Bergvik—through Sweden’s first para-parking initiative. It’s a social sustainability project designed to bring young people back to sports.

Scoring goals, celebrating together, and feeling like part of the team. That’s something every child should get to experience—but for many children with disabilities, the path to participating in sports is far from straightforward.

Since the pandemic, parasports have lost 25 percent of their active children and youth. Now, through a joint sponsorship project, Bergvik & Klaravik will attempt to reverse that trend and create more opportunities for participation in parasports.

Sponsorship for Children and Youth in Para Sports

Klaravik Plan, a sponsorship project for children’s and youth sports, is now accepting applications, with 20 clubsset to share 430,000 kronor—with a focus on strengthening parasports for young people.
“It feels incredibly motivating to help chart a new course for parasports,” says Karin Malmberg, CMO at Klaravik.

Sweden's first “parking”

To generate interest and increase engagement, Sweden’s first “parakering” was launched on Thursday, May 22, at Bergvik—a parking lot where visitors can make a Swish donation to the Swedish Parasport Federation. In addition, one krona per parking spot will be donated over the weekend of May 24–25.
“It’s important for us to create social sustainability projects that touch people’s hearts, and this collaboration certainly does that. We want to highlight community, diversity, and all the fantastic role models in parasports,” says Center Manager Olof Ljungberg.
